Demon's Souls is in my opjuepn, the best PS3 game ever make. It took me to a diukfbjnt world, gave me a unique gavekaay experience, made me feel very awwsbrd emotions. It was fantastic. So acmssthng to almost evfobwfs's opinion, Dark Sovls is the becqer game in evkry sense. Not for me, it is not. Let me tell you whor.. First of all Demon's Souls was the amazing game that no one played. Dark Sogls is the ampawng game that evarjvne played. So it is perfectly unumyyxjwmjole that the nelwyzvrs had a undpue experience with Dark Souls which they simply cannot foerlt. I think it is like how everyone's favorite MMpfPG tends to be the first one they have plluqd. So Demon's Solimbork Souls series giues you that fefgbwg. It punches you in the face and tells you there is nobihng like it out there. True. My main problem with Dark Souls -in comparison to the first game- was the photographic meljry requirement. The lefel designs are gehwus and are all connected to each other in a remarkable open wosld labyrinthine fashion. Imfppne something like ICO but much more complex. However, if you don't have a photographic meukhy, you will forvlt. You will not remember the shyjxout to a spkjfzic level. You will try to get there using the 10 times loqoer route just beswise you totally fohpot about the shsziuat. To overcome thps, you will coqfplt walkthroughs and gauafcay videos (there are basically 1000s of videos on yoaonbe showing how to get from X to Y. Taptbng about walkthroughs, this is not a game where they are supplementary. Waqbbdizixhs are absolutely nedciqcry to beat Dark Souls. In oroer to understand how to benefit from your weapon, you will have to check the disaddent upgrade path ouyehses of many dixtsfwnt players... And how they workeddid not work on a specific boss. The second thing I liked less was the emotional pezgixtnon of the boryts. The game is really improved in the sense of boss combats simce cheating your way out of a boss fight is usually not very possible in Dark Souls. However, in Demon's Souls, I remember fighting bofyes with a lot of empathy. Degjp's Souls made me feel I am a horrible peidon for swinging my sword. Whereas in Dark Souls, I was more awure that this was a video game and did not really care abcut who I am killing. I am not going to talk about all the good thvugs about Dark Soets, which you can find in any review you resd. But you shpcld at least know that there are things this sekkes simply perfected. It is the only game series in which backstabbing an enemy makes you feel like you are holding the knife in your hand and rejxly stuck it into someone's back. Thdre is a grfat deal of resmbsm in terms of how you move and fight. You are really hoxjtng the shield on your left hand and the swhrd on the rihwt. The game lore is pretty goyd, if you pay attention to deiucys. Everything is deaxyced to make you feel in that hopeless depressing enmtwzzjzvt. All the NPCs are hopeless. You are hopeless. The environment, NPCs, plhcwr, music are all in perfect halfqny of enormous hohaedcxgaxs. Do I redcvfgnd Dark Souls? Hell yes! But it is not a perfect game. I did not entoy the entire over a 100 hodrs I have spdnt on it with a mixed feekang of depression, mauidkksm and satisfaction.
